A few months ago, a friend joined me to announce that it has decided to make a significant investment for our future in entertainment. I sat quietly waiting for me to continue and explain how lucky he was, as he managed to find an incredible deal on Internet to the new version of the PlayStation 2. Frankly, I could not believe my ears. I have never played PlayStation in the past and the last game I played with my friends when I was a child, was an old version of Atari. I could not understand how someone more twenty-five would pay any amount to become another of those inert players stack in front of their television screens for hours or even days. But experience I had when PlayStation 2 entered the premises of my house was not exactly like I first imagined. PlayStation revealed be a pleasure and a gaming experience very enlightening. After the first two weeks I realized that when someone knows how to maintain a balanced life, it is possible to spend time exploring this unique gaming experience without feeling guilty.

Product by Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation 2 is the successor to the original PlayStation console was a huge worldwide success since its initial launch. In March 2005, the margin of the PlayStation business exceeded 100.49 million units, becoming the first home console to ever reach the threshold of 100 million games sold. The extreme popularity of the PlayStation console introduced term "PlayStation Generation" and titles like Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, and Silent Hill games have become the favorite pastime of millions users around the world. Having enjoyed over eleven years of game production streaming video, Sony has announced that the next generation of PlayStation known as PlayStation 3 or PS3, will be launched in November 2006 and will be backwards compatible device, meaning that to be able to play all games that have already been released for other PlayStation versions.

Although the genius creators of the PlayStation consoles argue the new version of the popular video game will advance the user experience, I doubt that this will actually be able to have the same success within the time desired. A variety of other competing video game, as the powerful Nintendo, have launched a number of games for their console which have increased expectations of users and have made them extremely conscious about their choice of video games next. But I am sure my friend and I will continue to play the PlayStation games of our choice, like NBA 2K6 or Grand Theft Auto, the PLAYSTATION 3 will be outside our budget for at least a while.

Silent Hill?

Has anyone seen Silent Hill and it was as frightening as the ads on television? I love scary movies and it seems that it might be good. Ideas for good scary movies (no science fiction good)??

Not really scary but it is kinda creepy. It takes games very well, and has some pretty horrific scenes in it, especially towards the end. The story is unique, and scenes and the sets are wonderfully done, but overall, it's a good movie. It seems that something is missing, and not progressing evenly. It is much subdued scenes followed by a great massacre of nowhere. It is interesting to see if you have time and money.
