Tonight I was bored. I have much to entertain and keep busy … but I found myself on youtube, a site that I am not often. As I reviewed a documentary came about September 11, 2001, called the man who falls. As many know now, many people jumped at the death, not because they wanted to die, but because death was a certainty and they had a choice … burn to death or jump. Many chose to jump, even if the media rushed to cover this.

There are many who believe that taking your own life is a mortal sin punishable go immediately to hell, but surely a loving God would not send a man or woman to hell for jumping out of the story of a building 100 which was engulfed in flames and smoke. What would you do? I probably jumped like a reflex out to be in some sort of control over my death.

Watch this documentary and see for yourself that the man who falls on film is captured. I am sure it was a worker of the restaurant Windows on the World, where I ate before. But the man who falls every man is. You. It is me. He went to work this morning, like many other mornings, and his life was taken from him, his relatives and friends. The man who falls shows that September 11, 2001 was not only an attack against the World Trade Center, it was an attack against humanity. I pray that man, that God had mercy on him enough to take his soul before he hit the ground and the soul of other riders too. They were not cowards, they are not in hell. They are with the Lord and one day those who are responsible for what will meet them and to God: "Why?" What will they say? What can they say? "These are not suicides, they were murders. The resistivity term refers to the electrical resistance of a material. We are experiencing an epidemic of obesity in the United States. Approximately 66 million people are classified as obese, meaning they have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30%. This means that the body of a person is over 30% fat.

Obesity morbid epidemic

Even more disturbing is the number of "morbidly obese" people in the United States. One in six more than 10 million people, is defined in this category. This means they have a BMI of 40 or more. When you take a healthy person has a BMI of 20 or less, morbid obesity, a person has more than twice the body fat of a person to a healthy weight.

We all know that morbid obesity can cause heart problems and stroke. What many do not realize is that morbidly obese people suffer from high rates of diabetes. For most, their diabetes is emerging because they do not exercise enough and eat too.

How the body processes food

The body is a smart way to treat the food we eat, as long as you eat so healthy. The food we eat is processed by the liver into glucose (for energy) and fat (for fat storage). If the body needs energy our cells can treat the glucose circulating in our blood. As we "burn" the sugar, the body sends signals to the pancreas to produce more insulin.

Our cells absorb the increase of insulin in the blood, which told them to absorb more glucose. The decrease glucose levels stimulate the liver to send more energy to cells. The liver "decide" between convert more food to glucose, or converts fats in our body into glucose.

That's how it works in a body that works well.

Our systems can Break Down

If we become obese, this mechanism of self-correction can go Haywire. Obese people eat too much food, especially sugars and starches (bread, soft drinks, candy, etc..) Liver, overwhelmed, pushing too much glucose in our bloodstream. Accordingly, the pancreas produces more insulin, and the cells eventually absorb glucose and insulin.

Over time, the cells in your brain, muscle and other cells of the body becomes supersaturated by insulin. This means that cells need insulin more to evoke the same uptake of glucose response. This need more and more insulin rods 'insulin resistance', or the increasing need of your body's cells for insulin to to function normally.

A good counter insulin resistance is exercise. Although we are obese, exercise causes cells absorb more glucose, and drops of insulin resistance.

Diet and exercise in morbid obesity

Another way to reduce this problem is to eat less or eat differently. If we eat less carbohydrates and sugars, the liver is likely to be less responsible, and grows less glucose. The pancreas is stimulated to produce less insulin and insulin resistance cells decreases.

How to improve? Even if you keep your body weight, insulin resistance may fall with better diet and exercise. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for people suffering from morbid obesity with exercise, and they are also more likely to consume foods that overload their system because of physical and psychological.

What does insulin resistance do to the body? It narrows the arteries, cutting off the circulation in the heart, lungs, and extremities. Left long enough, it will permanently damage the pancreas and lead to diabetes mellitus. Diabetes is particularly bad for the morbidly obese, which generally suffer from many problems at once.

What you or someone you love to do if you suffer from morbid obesity and the Resistance to insulin? Even if you tried to lose weight and can not change your diet to reduce sugar. Exercise as much as you can. Your body will develop more healthy without other changes, and your chances of developing chronic diabetes, will decrease.
